Process ~ Kettle

Once in the kettle, the Wort is brought to a boil.

Hops are added at different stages of the boil to produce flavor, bitterness and aroma. The boil time may vary for each recipe.

The Wort is then pumped into the hot liquor tank/whirlpool, creating a swirling effect to extract the solid particles.

Wort is then cooled by means of a heat exchanger and pumped into a fermentation tank where special brewer's yeast is added. The yeast consumes the sugars creating alcohol and carbon dioxide, transforming the wort into naturally carbonated beer.
